Mel did it all. The best part about that clip, though, is Letterman interviewing Mel. David always said interviewing guests was the hardest part of his job and it really showed in that clip. Fast forward to late in the Late Night run and then certainly into Late Show and he really has evolved well as an interviewer. Great clip, thanks Bob Best always, Peter The king, no doubt about it.
