Thanks for the mention! I&#039;m pleased you enjoyed listening to some of the &quot;Somerset Life&quot; episodes - I particularly like the ones penned by Philip - but I wouldn&#039;t want you or your readers to think that the &#039;dialect&#039; I adopted for Sam &amp; Ebeneezer is representative of how the locals around these here parts actually speak!

Though it probably mimicks a few elements of West Country speech patterns, it&#039;s pretty much a made-up accent, intended to add a touch of humour rather than to accurately reflect voices encountered in real life. Accents have never really been my strong point!
