Too busy to blog?

Should you have a blog? We both know that I can’t answer that question for you, but if you seriously want to have a blog, you need to take it seriously. Here are 10 solid suggestions you can use to help you focus on what’s important to you from a professional photographer named Jen O’Sullivan. The application to your voiceover business shouldn’t be difficult.

My thanks to Lee Plaud for emailing me this link.

  1. The key here is that’s it is supposed to be YOUR blog. If you kept a diary would you simply put extracts from Samuel Pepy’s diary in it, most don’t even bother to put extracts they just (in a link kind of way)say go and read Sam’s diary I got nothing.

I’m visting your blog to find out what’s you think, what you’re doing and to be engaged by YOUR stories. Whilst I understand all the SEO smoke and mirrors stuff, at the heart of your blog should be your content. By “your content” I mean any blogger.

Write a blog, don’t be a link factory.

  2. Philip,

I am indeed blogging the way I want to blog. Some links. Some stories. Some commentary. Some observations. All of it filtered through my point of view. As ever, I appreciate your comments and encouragement. You consistently help me grow better.

    Be well,
    Bob

  3. Food for thought. It might prompt me to revive TheLazyVoiceOver.com Either way, it’s worth saying, don’t blog for blogging sake.
