How often do you take a few minutes to think about what you’re grateful for? I try to do this every day, though some days I spend much less time doing so than others. It’s startling what a difference even a few minutes of gratitude can make in your day. Your week. Your year.

One of my major principles is: Never pass up the *opportunity* to THANK somebody!
When you take a moment to express appreciation, you break out of your own little world. You demonstrate that you’re a “trader,” not a “taker.”
An additional thought: Whenever possible, make your thanks specific. Don’t just say, “I like what you said.” Tell the person what you liked, and how it has benefitted you.
