Dig into audiobooks

On NPR’s site you’ll find this treasure in both text and audio from Neil Gaiman, talking with David Sedaris and Martin Jarvis. My thanks to my friend Donna Postel for posting the link to this lovely piece on the VO-BB.

  1. The voice over reading the audio book makes the whole difference. Some say you can’t judge a book by its cover, but you can certainly judge an audio book by its voice.

  2. This NPR story inspires me to look into Audio Book recording. The thought of reading an entire book aloud seems intimidating at first. So if it takes three days, so what? I would be three days older anyway, whether I did it or not.

Is this the core of your business, Bob?

  3. Dan,

Actually while I do some audiobooks, the core of my business is other kinds of long-form narrations like documentaries, eLearning and corporate projects. Another significant piece is commercials. Some television promo work and radio imaging. Whatever is legal, moral and ethical.

    Be well,
    Bob
