There’s a new post on the Voice123.com blog with answers to some questions about their new demo tagging experiment. Conspicuous in its absence is the lack of reference to demos that have slates and how they’re going keep the talent anonymous when the name is in the audio track.

I’ve noticed that they’ve intentionally kept a lot of information out of that post. That their statements regarding the tags only being used for their internal search feature is now changed into a slightly different answer, leading me to believe that despite earlier comments these tags will be searchable via other search engines as well and is being used for SEO.
Also, the lack of response as to whether the tag is used on the page PRIOR to the talent having the chance to review is still a bit troubling to me.
According to V123, over 4,000 people have been tagged so far. I’m sure that in a few days, some selected queries to V123 via google, yahoo, etc. will answer a lot of questions

Greg,
I appreciate your insights very much. And of course, with over 100,000 voice talents on the site as a whole, 4,000 demos is a tiny fraction of the whole. But, you’re right, more will become clear before long.
Be well,
Bob
