Day O’Day has been a mentor and friend for quite a number of years. He’s one of a rare breed to studied improv under Paul Sills. If you know improv, you know what a remarkable fact that is. I, in turn, had the great pleasure of taking a seminar from Dan on improv for voiceover a couple of years ago. It was a truly enlightening and mind-opening experience. So, if you are in or can get to Southern Calfiornia next weekend, give serious thought to taking part in the Dan O’Day IMPOVABILITY workshop.
Dan O'Day says
Thanks very much for the unexpected yet much appreciated plug, Bob.
I clearly remember the improvisational backstory I gave you the first time you took to the stage. (I plan to repeat that introductory exercise next week. I finally realized WHY it feels so right as an improv exercise.)
Bob says
Dan,
You’re very welcome. I’m sorry it’s taken me so long to get some good words written for you. I thought maybe having it posted here on my own blog might be helpful.
And yes, I very well remember that first “improv” bit you gave me. Thanks for pushing me toward greater excellence.
Be well,
Bob
