Let me say that I love narrating audiobooks. Especially non-fiction. I find it truly delightful finding a way to tackle a huge story and to convey that message effectively. So, I’m delighted to say that soon my first children’s audiobook project is going to be released. It’s with a new company called Faith Audio Center. They’re still putting the finishing touches on the edits to the audio as well as to their web site. But, as soon as they are launched, I’ll be sure to let you know all the details.

And speaking of launching, I still don’t have details about when the narration of the entire Bible that I did for Thomas Nelson is going to be released. But, again, as soon as I know more I’ll pass it along to you.

The Office of Science and Technology at the Embassy of Austria in Washington, DC publishes “bridges” quarterly. Included with the written articles are podcast versions of several of them each issue and I get to serve as the narrator for those podcasts. Volume 19 is now available on their website. The podcasts can be heard by clicking through on the individual articles or collected together in the “bridges” podcast section.

Doc Phillips and his voiceover blog Speak Easy host the first voiceover blog carnival. Doc’s been the driving force behind this excellent idea, so it only makes sense for him to serve as the center point for the initial effort. It may be that one day we’ll host this carnival here. What ever the case, we’ll be sure to let you know as each one goes live.

Deb Munro‘s ChantiNews goes audio this month. Deb has an archive of previous issues on her site as well. And I see, while poking around her site, that Deb has started a voiceover blog, too.

While I’m posting about Dan O’Day’s blog, I also noticed this wonderfully fun post which includes excerpts from Pat Fraley’s presentation this year. What’s especially fun about this post, as Dan explains, is that his nephew was at this Summit to help out and ended up getting pulled up onto the stage by Pat during the seminar.

Dan O’Day emails with news about a blog post you should check out, especially if you’re interested in radio imaging. Dan is setting up a teleseminar, tentatively set for November 11, 2008, about radio imaging with Dave Foxx. (Update: There’s also a radio programming teleseminar with Mike McVay on October 28, 2008. Thanks for the clarification in the comments, Dan.) Dan’s calling this teleseminar Ask Dave Foxx, The Sequel. This would be because Dan’s all ready done one teleseminar with Dave that he called Ask Dave Foxx and when it comes to naming things, Dan is a mighty clever fellow. (Dan also doesn’t mind if I poke fun at him from time to time, as long as I don’t mind when he pokes back.)
