The Audiobook Demo

General

I’ve just added two more demos to my demo section on the left. The one I’m most excited about is the Audiobook Demo because my CD from Pat Fraley just arrived today. I’m my toughest critic, but I think it sounds pretty good.

While I was at it, I also added my Medical Demo to this page.

Both the Audiobook Demo and the Medical Demo have also been added to my InteractiveVoices.com (soon to be Voices.com) and Voice123.com pages.

Should you wish too, leave a comment about how you think they sound. Good, bad or indifferent, I’d like to see what you have to say.

    Bob,
I just listened to your audio book demo at InteractiveVoices (where the quality of your audio was perfect and clear!) and was very impressed.
You picked three very different reads, all of which were cleverly executed and full of the emotion necessary to convey the core of each piece.
I especially liked the mature robusticity in your voice – full, yet controlled. Insightful interpretations all around.
    Bravo!

    Stephanie,
Thank you for your kind comments. Much of the credit for that audiobook demo needs to go to my teachers and coaches in Los Angeles: Pat Fraley, Hillary Huber and Kimberly Breault.
Their class was amazing and the work they did on the demo material I recorded there was equally amazing.
    Be well,
    Bob

    H, Bob
Thanks for sharing your audio book demo–I very much wanted to attend that workshop.
Just a quick FYI: on your Interactive voices profile you need to add a \”d\” to the word \”hear.\” That way you\’ll look as professional as you sound.

    Debbie,
Thank you! You’re right, of course. I’d be a good typist if it weren’t for all the mistakes!
And yes, the audiobook workshop was terrific. The good news is that they’re going to hold another one in a few months. So, you’ll have another change to attend.
    Be well,
    Bob

    Hello again,
Can you remove the last sentence of my comment? I don’t know how it got there, but I don’t want to give anyone the impression that I’ve done in-flight announcements. (I wish I could claim that, but I’m just a beginner working on a demo tape!) Thanks!
    Debbie

    Hi bob
Just listend to the demo here on the page. I think it sounds great. If i had to say something. I would say that it could use a bit more fluctuation in the voice.
