Rate card ideas

Career Advice, General

I know a lot of people wrestle with questions about what to charge for specific kinds of voiceover work. David Goldberg of Edge Studio has published an article over at VoiceOverXtra with a number of thoughts and suggestions about rates for voiceover work.

David has also published a list of suggested rates on his site.

    Great help, Bob!
I’m just starting up my own studio beginning in this field. I’ve several proposals and auditions out with “rates upon request”, and I don’t like dong that. To me it seems a negative, so these rate suggestions are a real gift to me.
    Thank you!

i was most interested to read this, due in no small part to the good reputation edge studios has.
however, i admit to some disappointment in that all the rates for each category seemed to use such a wide range as to be of no practical value. i wonder if anyone else had that reaction.

    Rowell,
It might be a little tough from 3 hours away, but see me raising my hand.
    Be well,
    Bob
