“Yes, we need it to sound more paisley. Let’s go again.”
    Wha-?!
    Best always,

    Peter,
    My sentiments exactly!
    Be well,

Exploding poodles is very 90’s. Exploding sheep is more 21st century.
I kind of like the Ian read myself. One bit of direction I might have given you Philip would have been to ask you to sound a bit taller. Or I might have asked you to read it as though you were wearing bue jeans.

You’re on the right track J.S. but I was thinking footwear.
“Philip, the read feels like boots. Could you switch to sneakers for us? Thank you.”

Two of my favorite directorizations are:
“Have Dan hit the commas harder,”and, “That was perfect. Do it again.”

      Dan,
Yes, I’ve always loved the “that was perfect, now do it again” direction, too. But, I do, because that’s what I’m there for, to please the client.
      Be well,
      Bob
