Thanks for posting this Bob. Boy, can I relate to “credit card at the ready”. I would venture to put forth that there are more people making money in “voice over” under the pretense of “let me show you how to make it big in voice over” than there are actual, working voice actors. My advice, before you submit your CC or PayPal confirmation, listen to the demos produced by the so-called “experts” with whom you are about to entrust your money and career. Reach out through the many forums and question the expertise you are being sold. Many pearls of wisdom in Paul’s video!

Excellent reality check. Yes, it would appear that the big money is selling stuff to people who WANT to be in the Voice Over business.
Consider this: there will always be more creative people (writers, actors, singers, musicians, photographers, graphic artists, ect) than there will be opportunity to work. This is not to say ‘don’t attempt to do creative work.’ It is a matter of going into such work with your eyes wide open.
So learn to ‘master’ your instrument. Hardly anything worthwhile is easy.
