Voiceover and baseball

General

As a life long fan of baseball, one of the most fun voiceover jobs I’ve done this year is a series of commercials for the San Francisco Giants. Here’s just one example.

Listening to you, Bob, I can smell the garlic fries! You hit this one out of the park-thanks for sharing it.

How about voice-over for football? I’ve often been told I’ve got a face for radio, but I’ve never pursued it. Reading this, I think I’ve made the right decision to pursue a career as a visual artist. The money might be better.

    Hi Bob,
Garlic fries? Never tried those. Where was the popcorn?:)
Sorry to be the bearer of bad baseball news BUT on this date (July 14) in baseball history in 1968 against the San Francisco Giants, Hank Aaron hit homerun #500. Atlanta won the game, 4-2.
Also on this date in 1967, Eddie Mathews hit homerun #500 against the Giants. Facing the great Juan Marichal on the mound to boot! Houston won 8-6.
Anyway, San Francisco is having a good season so far in 2012 – and so are your hometown Pittsburgh Pirates!
    Cheers!
    ~ Ralph
