Some time ago Tim McLaughlin told me he was stopping his voiceover blog and asked me to remove the link, so of course, I did. But today he emailed to say he was starting his voiceover blog back up so naturally I’m delighted to re-add his blog to my blogroll. Welcome back, Tim.

Pro Tools is a very popular recording application. I’m not posting this today to try to stir any wars about which audio software is best, because what works for you is what you should use. But, if you have a copy of Pro Tools but you’re not sure it’s a good fit for your voiceover work, my friend Steve Cunningham has some thoughts for you about the various myths about Pro Tools you may hear from time to time. Well worth a few minutes of your time.

Would you like to crack the lucrative market of voicing audiobooks?
One of the world’s most successful audiobook narrators, Barbara Rosenblat,
is conducting a teleseminar next week that answers virtually every question
you might have.
If you’re not familiar with Barbara, she:
* Has voiced over 400 audio books.
* Has won eight “Audie” awards for best audiobook narrator. (That’s more than
anyone else.)
* And, according to one critic: “Barbara is to audiobooks what Meryl Streep is to
film.”
There’s a limited number of spaces available, and a limited amount (registration ends late this afternoon) of time
in which to register. You’ll find all the information here.

John Florian emails with news about a webinar Bettye Zoller will be holding next week for those interested in video game and cartoon voiceover work.
