The International Radio Creative and Production Summit 2009 has been a superb experience with opportunities to learn and stretch and grow so many different ways. It’s wonderful to make new friends and to catch up with those we’ve known for a while, too.
For me one of the major highlights was getting to spend some time with Bobby Ocean. Sadly, I neglected to take any photos with Bobby, but hopefully we’ll get an opportunity to run into one another again and we’ll fix that lack then.
The day started with a superb session on radio imaging by Dave Foxx.
My friends Pam Tierney, Janet Ault and Bobbin Beam were all there.
Bobbin for the first time. Pam and Janet for the third and sixth times respectively.
After a break for the lunch Nancy Wolfson joined Dan O’Day on the platform to provide critiques of demos and commercials submitted by attendees.
Nancy also took time to get a few photos.

Then Nancy started what was the highlight of the weekend for me, her 3 hour session on understanding patterns in commercial copy and how to identify those patterns and put them to use behind the microphone. She had most of us in the room take direction.

Nancy Wolfson directing my son Eric. And …
Nancy Wolfson directing me. What a great experience this weekend has been. I know I said that before, but it’s really true. I’m all ready looking forward to Summit 2010.
